On August 31, 2011 in Vienna, after the project discussion about the topic of „soil as an indicator of flood occurrences“, a workshop for the production of regional soil colours took place.
 
Jointly, earth was sieved, dried, pulverized, and thus natural colour pigments were produced. With the aid of this information, up to spring 2012 social enterprises in Lower Austria and Slovakia shall produce regional soil colours with the aid of the SONDAR SK-AT project partners.

 
From February to April 2012, these soil colours will be distributed to educational institutions, so that they artistically deal with the topics of soil and soil protection. The school girls and boys may design natural pieces of art, which will subsequently be assessed by an international expert jury.
