On May 14, 2013, at the Futura Center at Mosonmagyarovar (Hungary) international soil experts, project partners and strategic partners of the SONDAR HU-AT project as well as representatives of municipalities and schools met in Hungary.
Before noon, the topic of „Soil as a filter and storage tank" and the topic of "creation of soil awareness" were conveyed to the participants, and first partial results of this project were presented. In the further course of this event, different workshops took place. Among others, the educators of schools were trained in dealing with raised herbs beds and worm compost boxes for the "economic cycle in the classroom". At the mobile soil lab, the participants were invited to observe different soil animals and to determine them. At the painting workshop, the male and female participants were trained in dealing with colour pigments and alternative binding agents, and they designed many beautiful pieces of art.
As a conclusion of this event, the male and female participants were nominated official soil ambassadors.
