On December 7, 2010 at the Lilienhof in St. Poelten the first international project meeting of the SONDAR Soil Strategy Network in the Danube Region took place.

Experts from Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic exchanged experiences and determined the further steps of their scheduled cooperation.

The main program points contain measures for increasing soil awareness by activities such as "Painting with the Colours of the Earth", just as the topics "soil as an indicator of flood occurrences" and "methods of soil protection for improving soil water balance / flood prevention".
